Baltimore Youth Rally and Peace Walk to be held Saturday May 9th #BEMOREYOUTHRISE
#BMOREYOUTHRISE will bring together all of those ends and provide an agenda for systemic change this Saturday, May 9th in Baltimore
A Baltimore Youth Rally is set to take place.
Despite what some media outlets have reported, Baltimore for the most part has had peaceful protests in response to the death of Freddie Gray and outrage of police misconduct.
The city of Baltimore has united to seek change for a city, like many other urban cities, plagued by economic and racial segregation and issues. The fight still continues for our youth and beyond.
Okayplayer reports, a list of artists, community activists, youth groups and educational institutions in Baltimore have partnered with The New York Justice League to commence the healing of a community that has lost so many over the years.
Baltimore Youth Rally
#BMOREYOUTHRISE will bring together all of those ends and provide an agenda for systemic change this Saturday, May 9th, enlisting in the city’s youth to erect a mural in honor of Gray in his West Baltimore neighborhood, followed by a Youth Town Hall meeting, a march for peace through Gray’s neighborhood and capping the day off with a youth rally, featuring performances from Freeway, Skyzoo, Gods’illa and Jasiri X.
If you’re in the Baltimore area or looking to get involved, this is something great to attend to stand with Baltimore, show support, and love.
