Yes, you heard it correctly. You cannot walk to work and be friendly to someone on the street without being harassed by the police.
A cell-phone video shot by a Camden man in Philadelphia shows two police verbally harassing the men.
“Don’t come to f—ing Philadelphia, stay in Jersey,” one of the officers said after reading the man’s license.
“I’ll split your wig open” one of the officers says.
The two men were walking when Philadelphia Police bombarded them, accusing the two of selling narcotics because they said hello to a person on the street.
“You don’t speak to strangers .. not around here”, one officer says.
A police spokesman told Philly.com that an “active investigation” is underway by Internal Affairs. He said the video will not determine whether the officers “acted appropriate in all aspects of their job,” the report said.
