Influencer and rap artist ‘Dream Doll Bri’ killed in July 5 drive‑by shooting
South Florida influencer and rap artist Brianna Johnson, known online as “Dream Doll Bri,” was killed early July 5 in a drive‑by shooting.
MIRAMAR, Fla. — South Florida influencer and rap artist Brianna Johnson, known online as “Dream Doll Bri,” was killed early July 5 in a drive‑by shooting that also left two men wounded, according to Miramar Police. She was 21.
Johnson was riding in a vehicle with two men when a white sedan pulled alongside them and opened fire. All three were struck. Johnson died at the scene, while the men were rushed to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
Detectives have not released a motive and said the shooter fled immediately after the attack. The investigation remains active.
Johnson built a large following across TikTok and Instagram, where her charisma, humor and music drew thousands of fans. She posted under @dreamdollbri and @itgirlbri, creating content that blended rap, lifestyle videos and bold personality.
Brianna Johnson’s Family Says She Was a “Vibrant Light”
A GoFundMe created by her family described Johnson as a “vibrant light” whose creativity and authenticity inspired people to chase their dreams. The fundraiser said she encouraged others to be confident and embrace who they truly are.
“Her smile, energy, and passion left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her or follow her journey,” the family wrote. They said donations will help cover funeral and memorial expenses and support relatives as they navigate “this unimaginable loss.”
The family asked supporters to share the fundraiser and keep Johnson’s loved ones in their prayers.
Community Shock and Growing Tributes
News of Johnson’s death spread quickly across South Florida and social media, where fans posted tributes, shared her videos and expressed heartbreak over her killing. Many called her a rising voice in the region’s music and influencer community.
Neighbors told local outlets they initially mistook the gunfire for holiday fireworks before realizing a shooting had occurred.
Police Seek Information
Miramar Police have not identified a suspect and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Broward Crime Stoppers accepts anonymous tips at 954-493-8477, the department said.
