The independent movie “Equal Standard,” which was released in May, was filmed in Queens, New York with a cast that also included stars such as rapper Treach from Naughty By Nature, singer Syleena Johnson and Tobias Truvillion, according to IMDb.
The movie is about the killing of a white NYPD cop by a black detective after the cop refused to believe the detective was a fellow law enforcement officer, according to Variety.
Joseph Taheim Bryan Was Fatally Shot in Long Island
Bryan, who lived in Jackson Heights, was shot outside the Jackson Park luxury apartment complex in Long Island City by a shooter who opened fire after being dropped off around the corner on Jackson Avenue by the driver of a dark-colored Mazda, according to The Post.
The shooter fired about seven shots at the driver’s side of Bryan’s car, hitting him four times in the arm and torso before escaping in the Mazda.

Video Footage
Police have released video footage in hopes of identifying a suspect.
Footage shows the suspect, wearing black track pants, a white sweatshirt and a hat and mask, pacing around the entrance to a garage in Long Island City, Queens while talking on the phone Thursday night.
The man then leaves the garage and walks across the street to a brand new Mercedes, parked on Jackson Avenue, near Queens Boulevard, and opened fire on Bryan, who was sitting in the driver’s seat.
After the shooting, the gunman hopped into a dark SUV around the corner on Queens Boulevard, and fled the area with a getaway driver, cops said.
