NBA preseason canceled

NBA owners locked out players in July when the old contract expired, and agreements have not been made on a new one. The players received 57 percent of basketball-related income within the last year of the expired agreement. The owners want to minimize that share down to 47 percent.
The NBA preseason cancellations mark the NBA’s first work stoppage since the 1998-99 season was reduced to 50 games. The cancellation includes all games scheduled to be played through November 14th.
