Police released surveillance footage of the alleged abduction of 22-year-old Carlesha Freeland-Gaither
A video released on Monday by Philadelphia police in regards to the abduction case of Carlesha Gaither-Freeland is nothing short of terrifying.
As reported by the The Grio:
Police released surveillance footage of the alleged abduction of 22-year-old Carlesha Gaither-Freeland.
The black and white video shows the attacker parking his car before approaching Gaither-Freeland at a street corner.
The police said the suspect is of medium-heavy build and 25-30 years old.
According to police, Gaither-Freeland yelled for help and fought with her abductor before he dragged her along the ground and forced her into her car.
She broke the passenger and driver side rear windows, and her glasses and cell phone were dropped out of the car before it sped away.
The abduction took place late. Sunday night, in the Germantown-Penn Knox area of Philadelphia.
Police have asked citizens to keep an eye out but not to engage the suspect: “If you see this suspect do not approach him; call 911 immediately.”
