Knoxville, Tennessee

The Knoxville Fire Department said arsonists set multiple fires on the church’s property and burned the church’s van.

Charlotte, North Carolina

Arson caused a fire at Briar Creek Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. The fire destroyed an education wing intended for a children’s summer program and caused an estimated $250,000 in damage.

“When I did think about the possibilities of there being any ugliness behind this, I instantly start praying and just saying: ‘God, just please have mercy,'” said Co-Pastor Rhonda Kinsey in the interview to Time Warner Cable News.

Macon, Georgia

A fire damaged a church in Macon early Tuesday morning, and investigators consider the case arson.

“I’m very calm about it, I’m at peace, I don’t have any hate in my heart,” associate pastor Jeanette Dudley said. “Whoever it is, I don’t have any hate in my heart. I just know that it’s working out for our good.”
