DJ Envy raises over 100k for struggling DJs during coronavirus crisis
Breakfast Club’s DJ Envy started the “I Love My DJ” campaign to raise money for struggling DJs during the coronavirus pandemic.
Last week, Breakfast Club‘s DJ Envy started the “I Love My DJ” campaign to raise money for struggling DJs during the coronavirus pandemic.
I Love My DJ Campaign
Envy’s campaign has raised more than $106,000 to help those who are currently out of work.
“I’m a DJ and I know how tough it is for DJs at this time,” Envy told People.
“Most don’t have healthcare, savings, retirement plans or have their businesses set up where they can get a stimulus check. So how can they provide food on their table? I knew I had to help.”
On Easter Sunday, Envy hosted a DJ-a-thon on Instagram Live to raise additional funds.
Event
The event took place from 12 am to 12 pm and featured live music sets from DJ Clue, DJ D-Nice, Kid Capri, DJ Will, Tony Neal, DJ Prostyle, DJ Scratch and Quicksilva.
