BIG ISSUE: GHANA SESSIONS/MESOPOTAMIA/ASBURY MEETS GHANA/PEARL HARBOR/GHANA’S HISTORY/BLACK PANTHER/DINOSAURS/AND MORE!

Just recently Mr. Wronko, his class and the students in Ghana had multiple video conferencing sessions at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

Mesopotamia Ghana session

The first session was on Mesopotamia.

At this point in time Mr. Wronko’s students and the students in Ghana were studying Ancient Mesopotamia. To enforce the learning experience, both sides gave each other an in-depth presentation.

Mr. Wronko’s students led by Brandon Cifuentes-Perez and the students in Ghana spoke about King Sargon, Tigris and Euphrates Rivers, the Sumerians, Cuneiform, the Old Babylonians, King Hammurabi, Hammurabi’s Code, King Nebuchadnezzar, and much more. Both sides during this session learned a lot and made learning about Ancient Mesopotamia an enriching experience.

Asbury Park meeting Ghana

Later that day in the afternoon, Mr. Wronko and his students had another afternoon session with Ghana. This time the session was about the city of Asbury Park meeting Ghana.

Ghana

The session began with students in Ghana giving a presentation about their country’s history, culture, politics, which involved president Barack Obama’s visit, sports, food, entertainment, and life.

After the Ghana presentation, students on Mr. Wronko’s end gave a presentation about the City of Asbury Park.

Asbury Park

This presentation dealt with the beaches, culture, life, entertainment, and restaurants located in Asbury Park.

In addition, within this presentation Bruce Springsteen’s contributions along with The Stone Pony were mentioned.

Pearl Harbor session

Last Thursday December 5, 2019, Mr. Wronko and his class and the students in Ghana held a special remembrance of the attack on Pearl Harbor session.

Pearl Harbor was attacked by Japan on December 7, 1941. This attack brought the United States into World War II.

The students in Ghana gave a visual presentation about the attack and Mr. Wronko’s students once again led by Brandon Cifuentes-Perez gave a power-point presentation as well as showing special news reports from that time frame.

In the afternoon on that same day, the students in Ghana gave students in the Afterschool program two presentations.

History of Ghana and Black Panther

The first was the history of Ghana and the second was their famous and incredible Black Panther Wakanda compared to Ghana presentation.
