Arrest made into killing of 81-year-old Maryland man
Authorities say they have arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of 81-year-old Jaward Hannah from Maryland.

Jaward Hannah murder suspect arrested
Javon Smith, 34, has been charged with first-degree murder and firearm related offenses.
Incident
On November 10, 2023, Baltimore County officers responded to the 3400 block of Kelox Road in reference to an unresponsive person.
When police arrived, they found Hannah with upper body trauma.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital and was pronounced deceased.
Authorities had offered a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the killing.
Suspect held in jail
Smith is currently lodged at Baltimore County Detention Center.
