Dwayne Eduh, a 24-year-old Walmart employee, is accused of going on a violent shooting rampage at a Walmart store he worked at in Covington, Georgia.

Georgia Walmart shooting details

He is suspected to have shot his colleagues Khalaf Barksdale, 21, and Ryan Bradley, 29, at the Georgia Walmart. The shooting took place around 1:30 a.m. on April 11.

Barksdale died at the scene. Ryan Bradley was shot multiple times and is recovering. A fundraiser has been started to help the father of one with his medical expenses as he in the “ICU pulling through”.

The suspect then left the store and drove to another colleague, 19-year-old Akeela Clarke’s home. She was shot and killed in front of her mother while her younger sister hid in the closet. The teen has aspirations to become a nurse. A GoFundMe has been started to help her family during this difficult time.

Akeela was described as “one of the most vibrant and joyful individuals you could ever meet.”

The family said their loved one “was taken from us in a tragic and wrongful manner due to yet another senseless act of gun violence.”

While a motive has not been revealed, the Newton County sheriff’s office said the “suspect specifically targeted individuals they knew.”

Eduh shot himself. He was transported in critical condition to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries on April 13.
