Educators meet Nilaja Sun
“No Child” is a one woman show based on Sun’s experience as a teaching artist in NYC public schools.
Written & Performed by Sun, she transforms herself into an entire classroom of students, as well as their teachers and family members, the principal, a janitor, and a security.
Sun encouraged everyone to come see the play and for educators to bring their students along for a learning experience as well.
She also talked about visiting local schools including Long Branch High School, Neptune High School, Red Bank Regional, and Asbury Park High School.
Nilaja blessed the audience with a glimpse of what you would see if you come see the play. From those few minutes, I can describe Ms. Sun as amazingly brilliant. This is definitely a must see!
“No Child” premiers at the Two River Theater Company in Red Bank, NJ on November 1st. Tickets start at $37, 30 years and younger, $24. If you’re interested in buying a group ticket, please contact Brian Holland at 732.345.1400 ext 1813.
