A man says after allegedly seeing Baltimore police officers throw his friend Tiyon Williams to the ground, he became scared and ran.

Williams, who was just exiting a neighborhood store, ran away from the incident after he saw police approach his friend.

Williams says he surrendered by putting his hand up in the air. That’s when he said police tackled him to the ground and began to beat him. Officers reportedly broke his nose causing Williams to require twelve stitches for a gash he received.

Williams, who has no criminal record, was taking to hospital and left there.
