Global Village Inspiration Day
Jayden along with Mrs. Elgart did an amazing job creating a video seen by multiple countries of how the Asbury Park School District was managing during the time of the pandemic. Joining this video conference were the countries of Brazil, Turkey, Dubai, and Ghana.
In addition, providing the objective of this global conference was Oiada’s Darryl Kwame Batts:
Objective:
The objective of the Inspiration Day event is to provide students the opportunity to speak with Dave Shull, CEO of Poly to discuss how 21st century is being utilized during the Covid-19 pandemic. The conversation is meant to demonstrate the important role of technology in today’s environment and to boost the students’ confidence that they can make a difference in the world today and in the future.
Michael L. Mathews praised CEO of Oiada, Eric Jones, for pulling this size of a conference off.
Hats off to Eric Jones and Oiada International for leveraging the pandemic to create the Global Village concept of connecting scholars to K12 students around the world. Who would of thought there would be a day we could offer the following global event and simply open a Zoom webinar number and the world could join in. Thanks Reggie Smith III and The United States Distance Learning Association along with Zoom for making Eric Jones’ vision become a reality.
