After the LAPD Commission declared Reginald Doucet Jr shooting death by a police officer justified, a petition has surfaced asking the FBI to conduct an investigation of the shooting death.
Police shooting case
Last year, Reginald Doucet Jr, a model and former college football star, was shot by a police officer after a small altercation with a cab driver.
The 25-year-old was involved in a dispute with a cab driver for an unpaid cab fair.
In an attempt to prove he could pay, he removed his clothing and headed to his condo, only to realize he had been locked out. Upon returning to the cab, the LA Pacific Police Unit had been called and arrived on the scene.
It is then when the next events become questionable.
Police state Doucet got into an altercation with the police and became erratic, justifying the shooting.
Family, friends, and activists feel otherwise, as they question how an almost naked man can inflict harm for an officer fire a gun.
After a year-long investigation, the LAPD commission, who conducts all internal investigations, declared the shooting justified. The case was officially closed on December 23rd.
Reginald Doucet petition
A petition has now surfaced demanding justice for Doucet.
Police are killing innocent citizens under the color of their authority with no repercussions. This must end. We cannot allow the citizentry to be deprived its constitutional rights of the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness without due process. And no man or agencies has the right to take a life with out being prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Doucet’s family also filed a wrongful death lawsuit which is currently pending.

a totally naked man can do great harm to someone. i have seen one take on several cops with tazers and he was still fighting. so being partially dressed has nothing to do with being able to hurt someone.
