Rapper PnB Rock killed
According to reports, the rapper, whose real name is Rakim Hasheem Allen, was shot during a robbery Monday afternoon at Rosce’s Chicken and Waffle while out with his girlfriend.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Captain Kelly Muniz did not name the rapper but said in a news briefing on Monday that a “victim was sitting at a table eating with a female witness when he was approached by the suspect.”
The suspect then pulled out a gun “and demanded his property” before shooting several times “and appears to remove some property,” Muniz added.
He was later declared dead at 1:59 p.m. local time, said Muniz, adding that the South Bureau Homicide will be investigating the case along with “many other detectives.”
Although authorities did not name Allen, witnesses at the scene identified him.
Graphic video shared by TMZ showed Allen lying in a pool of blood inside the restaurant.
In a video shared on social media, a witness claims the robbery was related to jewelry.
No one else in the restaurant was injured, according to KTLA.
The rapper’s girlfriend, IG model Stephanie Sibounheuang shared in a since-deleted Instagram Story –– which was shared online by fans –– a video of her meal at the restaurant shortly before the shooting.
Career
PnB Rock was named to the XXL Freshman Class of 2017. The Philly native is best known for 2015’s “Fleek” and 2016’s “Selfish,” which reached number 51 on the Billboard chart.
