Love Wins
Today America solidified that love wins.

Last week solidified love wins.
Love wins
As I sat in my villa here in Johannesburg the greatest news possible was texted to me: “Gay marriage is finally legal in all states of America”.
I am here in South Africa for an extended stay for business. I was profoundly happy to hear this news for my country.
It was not just great news for me and my girlfriend, but great news for America as they have finally gotten it right.
The ruling
The Supreme Court ruled that gay marriage is to be legalized in all 50 states in the United States of America. The 5-4 ruling on Friday established a new civil right and handing gay rights advocates a historic victory.
I can say for myself after coming out as gay, the opportunity to express my love through the commitment of marriage is one of the greatest feelings right now. I am happy to say that today America took a positive step forward for the future. If my girlfriend and I want to take that next step in our lives, we will no longer be limited.
Now this doesn’t mean for everyone in the LGBTQ community to jump on the marriage bandwagon now that it is legal for you to do so.
I have always exclaimed that marriage is a sacred thing between two people who love each other and want to live that commitment, and not because it looks good on a piece of paper. Be serious about this liberty that can no longer be denied.
All in all, smiles and joys fill my body.
Today was a victory for equality for all people that no matter your gender, you are able to marry who you love. And ultimately, love wins.
