Republican Debate In Florida

Tonight displayed the events that seem to be unfolding in a two man race for the Republican nomination. Although, I would have to believe Rick” the kid” in not out this race yet. The departure of Gov. Perry was something that we all saw coming. What I do think we need to pay close eye to is Ron Paul. A lot of political pundits say that he is not ready to drop out of this race yet and run as an independent candidate in favor of his soon that could soon be a presidential candidate. Personally, not sold on Rand yet.
What we have learned so far
IOWA: The Hawkeye State
What we have learned in Iowa is that if you keep it tight you just might get a recount. Interesting, only because when doing some extensive research you cannot have a recount in Iowa in a primary. However, I stand corrected, if the party deems it does not have a clear cut winner it can go back and recount the vote of the primary if need. Thank God there was not a Democrat on the ticket or a candidate by the last name Gore. This is no surprise, Mitt and Rick put a lot of time in Iowa. Although, I do not favor either of these candidates, I love the way Rick campaigned(money doesn’t beat shoe leather). However, that same strategy doesn’t work everywhere. Rick needs to raise more money if he wants to see himself in this race past Nevada. 2008 Winner: Mitt Romney 2012: Rick Santorum – Mitt could not repeat what he did in 08′. Which is showing that it could lead to trouble down the road. Quick Statement: When you campaign in a state for almost five years and you’re the only one doing it for about four, you should be able to pull it off. SHAME ON HIS STAFF. On toooo………
New Hampshire: The Granite State
This was the state with the biggest fireworks. With Michelle Bachman out of the race due to a poor showing in Iowa and Rick Perry slumping in the polls daily. We found ourselves with a five headed horse heading into the Granite state. Mitt and Rick kept it tight in Iowa showing to myself that Mitt was not the clear front runner as of yet that everybody wanted to label him. Rick “The Kid” Santorum found new faith in himself his campaign and God after everybody counted him out due to poll showing in Iowa. Look, I call it more of, it was his turn to be on top of the polling, heck everybody else was including Mickey Mouse and Big Bird. Newt displayed is Washingtion’esq with the attack from the Blame, I mean Blain acquisitions which seemed to be very true. It also came back to bite him in the @$$, shall I say Fannie Mae. It also seems that one candidate put all his eggs in one basket, reminisce of Mayor Giuliani, John Huntsman a New Hampshire lifer seemed to think that he could rap the race up because will, he was a “lifer”. As we saw neither seemed to matter. Last but definitely not least, you have the candidate of “liberty” (lol) Ron Paul. Have to give this man his props, at least he tries, I am starting to wonder if he did any sports at all and if he was competitive, Case being, he loves second place. As, we would later learn Mitt came out on top in the with a not so convincing win. New Hampshire, I am not overly impressed at all. Still with all the money, endorsements and Super PAC’s he still can’t manage to blow his competition out the water nor can he keep it close. Newt, showed his butt and put up a fight for second place, which would later spring board him into South Carolina. This would lead to a interesting race in South Carolina. 2008 Winner: John McCain 2012: Mitt Romney, this was your chance to seal the deal. This was your chance to show America, or at least your party that you can lead. However, nothing was impressive. Quick Statement: I like to be able to fire people. -Mitt Romney (not cool)
South Carolina: The Palmetto State
And Then There Where
After Rick Perry realize that nobody never and ever understood anything that came out his mouth but Texans(no pun intended). He did the right thing and left the race. Gov. Perry never seemed to grab my attention. He always seemed to be the candidate that would scare the $%!+ out of me if he ever became president. I can understand wanting to cut cost, but he never made sense of what he wanted to cut and why. He is doing fine(well my sources would disagree) as Governor of Texas. Maybe next time, when the country is ready to take our forefathers out of everything that has made this country(see: Thomas Jefferson and Texas). This would also be the state as i perdicted before would be the state that springboards Newt(see:ourpointofview4u.blogspot.com). I just could never see a Representative winning in Texas, especially when he is a Mormon and furthermore, he was from the North. Now, I have nothing against the Mormon, faith. Historically, the South does not totally agree with non- Evangelical especially when it come to Republicans. They seem to have a following with the Evangelical faith and Christian following. Now, this could have been the perfect place for Rick “The Kid” to show up, but as stated before I just do not think he can keep up financially. Newt, made a case to show Mitt’s false step in running a business, which is similar to running the country. People seem to not agree with his dealing with Blain, where horrible and scary. Personally, I’m not voting for either one so my opinion doesn’t matter. If, I where to endorse, well………that’s for another post. 2008 Winner: John McCain 2012: Newt Gingrich Quick Statement: I am shocked that you would start a debate with my short comings (paraphrased) – Newt. Ok, seriously Newt, people may take your personal life serious when it comes to shaping their lives. I do not total fault the moderator. It is only what some people want to hear. RELAX!
Florida: The Sunshine State
My Prediction: Newt by a close margin Why: The South will Rise AGAIN! Current Subject: Can Newt creep up and steal the race again ? Or will his ex-wife’s(2) subject of an open marriage rise again. Didn’t seem to be a problem before!
