Renowned gospel singer LaShun Pace has died on Monday March 21, her family confirmed.

LaShun Pace’s career
Known for hits “I Know I’ve Been Changed” and “Act Like You Know”, Pace first came onto the gospel scene in the mid-70s, performing solo and then alongside her eight sisters in the Grammy-nominated group The Anointed Pace Sisters.
She toured both with her sisters and as a solo act and even performed on the big screen as the Angel of Mercy in Steve Martin’s 1992 film “Leap of Faith.”
The Atlanta born singer was inducted into the Christian Music Hall of Fame in 2007, and in January 2015, she and the Anointed Pace Sisters were honored at the 16th Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards.
Illness
Pace suffered from various health issues including cancer, weight issues and a ruptured esophagus, but was recently battling kidney failure.
According to her sister Lydia Pace, LaShun had been on dialysis for five years while waiting for a kidney donor. She eventually died of organ failure, Lydia told 11Alive’s Shiba Russell.
She was 60 years old.
