Thaddeus Matthews, controversial talk host known as the ‘Cussing Pastor’, dies at 67
Matthews referred to himself as “The Cussing Pastor”, garnering a social media following of 103,000 total followers on Facebook, more than 7,000 followers on Instagram, and 78,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Thaddeus Matthews, the controversial Memphis pastor and talk show host known for cursing during his sermons, has died.
He was 67.
How did he pass away?
Matthews wife Melanie confirmed on a social media post her husband passed away Monday.
“No more sickness and no more worries. You said you were tired and wanted to rest. On today at 2:25pm, you transitioned peacefully surrounded by family and friends!” she wrote on Facebook.
“We want to thank those of you who have been praying for him and us during these trying times. We ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers as we process our loss. Peace and blessings to all!” she added.
He had been reportedly battling heart failure and was in a rehabilitation hospital, according to his wife.

Matthews referred to himself as “The Cussing Pastor”, garnering a social media following of 103,000 total followers on Facebook, more than 7,000 followers on Instagram, and 78,000 subscribers on YouTube.
Matthews often talked about politics and religion on his show and had multiple viral moments.
He also authored the book “The Cussing Pastor: Bullsh*t from the Pulpit”.
In an interview with Fox 13 Memphis, Matthews wife said her husband recently made the decision to no longer be known as the cussing pastor.
“I know that a lot of people thought he was playing with God because of his choice of vocabulary, but I know that he loved God,” Melanie Matthews said.
