‘Big Brother’ contestant Mickey Lee dies at 35
Her family said she “transitioned on Christmas in the early evening” and thanked supporters for their prayers during her hospitalization.
ATLANTA — Big Brother Season 27 contestant Mickey Lee has died at 35 after suffering multiple cardiac arrests, her family said. The announcement came Friday in a statement posted to her official Instagram account.

Her family said she “transitioned on Christmas in the early evening” and thanked supporters for their prayers during her hospitalization. They noted that Lee “captured the hearts of audiences nationwide” with her authenticity and strength on the CBS reality series.
Hospitalization Followed a Series of Cardiac Arrests
Lee entered the ICU earlier this week after experiencing several cardiac arrests, according to a GoFundMe launched Dec. 22. Organizers said she battled complications from the flu and required intensive care as her condition worsened.
The fundraiser described her as a vibrant and strategic competitor who brought bold energy to the Big Brother house. It also highlighted the financial strain caused by mounting medical bills and ongoing care needs.
Mickey Lee was a Standout on ‘Big Brother’ Season 27
Lee competed on Big Brother earlier this year and quickly became one of the season’s most memorable houseguests. Viewers connected with her bold gameplay, creative background, and genuine interactions with castmates.
Originally from Jacksonville, Fla., and based in Atlanta, she worked as an event curator and creative professional. Her family said she will be remembered for the joy she brought to others and the meaningful connections she formed on and off screen.

Her family said details about memorial services will be released later. They also thanked the public for the outpouring of love during an “incredibly difficult time”.
