He later died at a local hospital, authorities confirmed.

Police arrested Jacob Lee Bard, 48, of Evansville, accused of firing during a fight involving students.

Officials said Bard is a parent of at least one KSU student.

Another student remains in critical condition after the altercation.

Witnesses recorded the fight from a dorm window, and the footage spread quickly across social media platforms.

The video shows several students fighting before a man pulls a gun.

Frankfort police declined to explain why Bard was on campus or what sparked the confrontation.

Authorities noted the shooting was an isolated incident.

Family in Mourning

Fox’s mother, Chardnae Cleveland, described the loss as “a nightmare.”

She said she received the call minutes before her son’s death.

“He was harmless and always joking,” Cleveland said.

Relatives remembered Fox as someone who made people laugh and rarely caused trouble.

Friends told WAVE that Fox was a dedicated student who avoided conflict.

Campus Safety Response

Frankfort Police and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office are assisting KSU Police with the investigation.

University President Koffi Akakpo emphasized in a statement that campus remains safe.

“We added more officers and are collaborating with city leaders,” Akakpo said.

Ongoing Investigation

This marks the second shooting outside KSU dorms this year.

In August, gunfire erupted from a car targeting students walking on campus.
